Creator Advertising and Promotion Policy
Preamble
Copy link to “Preamble”This policy governs how creators may promote their desioart profile away from the platform, on what conditions they may advertise for third parties on it (sponsorship, product placement, affiliate links), and how advertising must be labelled. It gives substance to Creator Terms section 16 and supplements Acceptable Use sections 5.4 and 6, Referral and Creator Terms section 9.8 (cross-posting).
1 Terms used
Copy link to “1 Terms used”| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Self-promotion | any promotion of your desioart profile or your content away from the platform |
| Third-party advertising / sponsored content | content on the platform for which a third party gives you money or something of value (products, vouchers, commission) to promote products, services or brands |
| Affiliate link | a link through which you earn commission when someone else buys |
| Labelling | telling the viewer, immediately and recognisably, that something is advertising |
2 Promoting yourself away from the platform
Copy link to “2 Promoting yourself away from the platform”2.1 Channels you may use
Copy link to “2.1 Channels you may use”Social media, your own websites and blogs, newsletters, podcasts, messenger channels and adverts on advertising platforms — in each case under that channel’s own rules, since many platforms forbid explicit content or adult advertising altogether. For cross-posting from the platform, Creator Terms section 9.8 applies: only a teaser suitable for all audiences, with a link, goes out.
2.2 The rules
Copy link to “2.2 The rules”- Truthfulness: promote only what your profile actually offers (kind, extent, frequency, prices); make no false promises about exclusivity, live interaction or personal contact (Acceptable Use section 5.4).
- No confusion: do not hold yourself out as desioart or as another creator; use our brand only to point to your profile (“on desioart”), never as a sender, a domain, an account name or an advertising keyword (Terms section 8.5). Our logos you may use in the form we provide (the brand kit in the help centre).
- No spam: no unsolicited bulk messages, no automated comments, no bought followers or clicks, no redirect chains, no cloaking towards advertising platforms.
- Protection of minors: no advertising aimed at minors or appearing in settings popular with young people; no explicit content in public advertising; age labelling wherever the channel provides for it; no approaches in school, gaming or children’s settings.
- Referral and tracking links: your tracking links (
tr-…) exist to measure success; referral links are governed by Referral section 4. Where you are paid for sharing a link, disclose that wherever the context calls for it. - No diverting payments: advertising offers away from the platform is allowed (Creator Terms section 4.2); settling services arranged on desioart through external payment links is not (Acceptable Use section 6.2).
- Adverts promising earnings (“earn X with desioart”) are prohibited — including for recruiting other creators.
3 Advertising third parties on the platform
Copy link to “3 Advertising third parties on the platform”3.1 Allowed, with labelling
Copy link to “3.1 Allowed, with labelling”You may promote third parties’ products, services or brands in posts and messages where
- what you promote is lawful and is not excluded by section 3.3,
- the advertising is clearly and plainly labelled as such (section 4),
- you name the advertiser (the brand or company),
- the advertising breaches no part of the AUP, and
- you answer for your own advertising claims (health claims, before-and-after, guarantees are your liability).
Affiliate links to outside shops are allowed; affiliate links to competing adult platforms, to payment or wish-list services and to file hosts are not (Acceptable Use section 6.2). Promoting what you offer on other platforms is a separate matter and remains allowed (Creator Terms section 4.2).
3.2 Requiring our agreement
Copy link to “3.2 Requiring our agreement”Only with our prior written agreement (legal@desioart.com, subject “Advertising approval”):
- prize draws, raffles and competitions on the platform, whether for you or for a third party (transparency of the conditions of entry, the line against gambling, tax); tip goals with a reward are not prize draws, so long as nothing is decided by chance
- job and recruitment advertisements of any kind, above all recruiting others for adult work, for agencies or as a “model search” (Anti-Slavery section 5)
- advertising campaigns on behalf of third parties in which your profile serves mainly as advertising space
- advertising for financial, crypto and investment products, so far as it is permissible at all (section 3.3)
- advertising for alcohol beyond occasional mentions
3.3 Prohibited
Copy link to “3.3 Prohibited”No advertising at all, labelled or not, for:
- tobacco, nicotine, e-cigarettes, cannabis and other drugs; prescription medicines; doping agents; unapproved food supplements carrying health claims
- gambling, betting, loot boxes, casino streams
- unregulated financial products, sales of crypto tokens, trading signals, pyramid schemes, loans on unfair terms
- weapons, ammunition, explosives
- escort, companionship and sugar-dating services, arranging prostitution, paid meetings (Acceptable Use section 2.12)
- services for getting round age verification, geoblocking or payment rules; piracy sites; leak sites
- products or services that breach the AUP (deepfake and “nudify” apps, stalkerware, doxxing services)
- anything prohibited by the law of your country or of the country you are advertising into
3.4 Advertising in messages
Copy link to “3.4 Advertising in messages”Third-party advertising in direct messages and broadcasts is permissible only to subscribers and only when labelled; third-party advertising messages may not be sent to followers or former fans (Acceptable Use section 5.3). Automated messages may contain no third-party advertising.
4 Labelling
Copy link to “4 Labelling”- Where: at the start of the caption or message and, in videos, visibly or audibly at the beginning.
- How: unambiguously, in the language of the content: “Ad”, “Advertisement” or “Sponsored” in English, “Werbung” or “Anzeige” in German, “Publicité” in French. Hashtags suffice only where they come first and do not disappear into a cloud of hashtags. “Collaboration”, “partner” or “gifted” on their own are not enough.
- Affiliate links: a note reading “affiliate link — I earn a commission” right next to the link.
- Promoting your own products away from the platform (merchandise, a shop) is not third-party advertising, but it must be recognisable as commercial where that is not obvious anyway.
- AI labelling remains necessary alongside this (Acceptable Use section 4, Creator Terms section 5.2).
5 Promotion by the platform using your content
Copy link to “5 Promotion by the platform using your content”We promote creators only with previews suitable for all audiences and only with your agreement, given in the creator dashboard (featured placements, trending highlights, newsletters, the platform’s own social media channels — Privacy section 12.3, Creator Terms section 5.1). You can withdraw that agreement at any time. There is no paid placement (Terms section 3.5). Our own claims about what can be earned we confine to figures we can substantiate.
6 Breaches
Copy link to “6 Breaches”Breaches of this policy we deal with under Acceptable Use section 9: removing or labelling the content, a warning and, where it is repeated, a restriction on your advertising features or your account; retention of the remuneration that arises directly from the breach; and for the prohibited categories (section 3.3) or recruitment advertisements connected with exploitation, an immediate ban and, where appropriate, a report. Every measure comes with reasons and can be challenged (Appeals). Claims by third parties or authorities arising from your advertising (cease-and-desist letters, fines) are yours to bear, and you indemnify us against them (Creator Terms section 13).
7 Reporting
Copy link to “7 Reporting”Misleading or impermissible advertising you report through the “Report” icon (the “spam and impermissible advertising” category) or to abuse@desioart.com; advertising approvals you request at legal@desioart.com.
8 Updates
Copy link to “8 Updates”Where a change is substantial we tell you 30 days beforehand (creators at least 15 days, Article 3 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1150). The current version is at legal.desioart.com/advertising.
